Leigh McTeer Shields is an aspiring writer and director from Knoxville, Tennessee.

She is a student at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies with a minor in Theatre. Her short film “Keep It Up!” (2022) was screened at the Handheld Film Festival and received a Faculty Choice Award. Her work in both the Cinema Studies and Theatre departments has been recognized with awards such as the School of Art S.O.A.R Scholarship, Cinema Studies Outstanding Work in Production Award (2022), and Ellis Mayes Theatre Award (2023).
